Snow White's Candy Apples with Marshmallow

These delightful candy apples with a marshmallow twist are inspired by Snow White's classic treat. They're a sweet and whimsical addition to any fairytale-themed party or a fun treat for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients:

  • 6 apples, washed and dried
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 6 marshmallows
  • 6 wooden skewers

Instructions:

Leave enough space on each apple for the skewer to be held in place while dipping

Put the sugar, water, and corn syrup in a saucepan

Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves

If desired, add cinnamon and red food coloring to the mixture

Cook, uncovered, until a candy thermometer registers 300F 150C, stirring occasionally

After taking the mixture off the heat, give it a minute or two to cool down

Coat every apple evenly by dipping it gently into the confectioner's sugar mixture

Let any extra candy fall off

After coating the apples, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Cool for a few minutes, or until the candy is just starting to set

Securing the marshmallow in the still-soft candy coating, press it onto the top of each apple

Let the candy apples come to room temperature and cool completely

For quicker cooling, you can also put them in the refrigerator

Your Snow White's Candy Apples with Marshmallow are ready to eat once the candy has solidified!
